Technician notes
Disconnected the dryer, protected flooring, and vacuumed the dryer cavity and lint-trap housing. Rotary-brushed the full 24 ft run to the roof termination, cleaned the roof cap, and freed the damper. Reconnected and run-tested the dryer.
Crushed foil transition hose restricting airflow. Roof damper seized open.
Replace the foil transition hose with a UL 2158A semi-rigid metal hose. Install a new roof cap with a working damper and pest screen.
Customer runs the dryer 5-6 loads per week. Annual service recommended.
